Medic-1's mission statement is as follows:

Dr. Parmelee started Medic-1 in 1986. At that time we were the only primary/urgent care facility in Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas. As a true test of time, our mission statement is the same now as it was then. Providing the community with good health care. Our physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners combined with our nursing staff, receptionists, and administrative staff all focus on these two words:
